Having lived most of my life in Glynneath, I have been lucky to have the beautiful waterfall country and the Brecon Beacons National Park on my doorstep. This has fuelled my passion for the outdoors: fishing, hiking, camping, bird watching and naturally, this progressed into my love for photography.
After leaving school in 1993, I became a Highway Engineering Technician and pursued relevant qualifications within the industry, including ONC & HNC in Civil Engineering, followed by a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Construction Project Management, at the University of Wales, Swansea. I continue to work as a Civil Engineer.
Over the years, as the seniority of my job role increased, the requirement for me to attend site diminished, restricting me to the office! As a result, this fuelled my obsession with the outdoors, to make the most of my free time and explore the magnificent landscapes that Wales has to offer.
As a keen mountain hiker, I made regular visits to Snowdonia and found the breath taking scenery and mountains inspirational, and truly recharged my batteries.
Recently I made the decision to move to North Wales, so expect to hopefully see my mountain and landscape photography develop as I explore and capture the rugged landscapes of Snowdonia National Park and surrounding areas.
